Konstruksi Identitas Kultural Masyarakat Madura dalam Fiksi Karya Muna Masyari

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap konstruksi identitas kultural masyarakat Madura dalam seluruh fiksi karya Muna Masyari dengan menggunakan teori identitas kultural Stuart Hall. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif-interpretatif dan analisis teks sastra. Sumber data berupa seluruh karya fiksi Muna Masyari, yaitu novel yang berjudul Damar Kambang dan kumpulan cerpen yang berjudul Rokat Tase’, sedangkan data penelitian berupa narasi, dialog, dan deskripsi yang merepresentasikan identitas budaya masyarakat Madura. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi dan pembacaan intensif, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model interaktif yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, interpretasi, dan penarikan simpulan berdasarkan lima konsep identitas kultural Stuart Hall, yaitu identity as being, identity as becoming, difference, representasi melalui simbol, bahasa, dan budaya, serta hubungan sejarah, budaya, dan kekuasaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa identitas kultural masyarakat Madura dalam fiksi Muna Masyari dikonstruksi melalui lima dimensi, yaitu identity as being merepresentasikan identitas sebagai warisan budaya kolektif yang diwujudkan melalui tradisi ziarah, ritual adat, sistem kekerabatan, dan nilai-nilai komunal, identity as becoming menunjukkan bahwa identitas bersifat dinamis melalui proses negosiasi terhadap tradisi, relasi gender, dan perubahan sosial, difference memperlihatkan bahwa identitas budaya dibangun melalui pembedaan dengan komunitas lain maupun melalui diferensiasi peran sosial dalam masyarakat Madura, identitas dikonstruksi melalui simbol, bahasa, dan representasi budaya yang diwujudkan dalam ritual, makanan tradisional, sesaji, bunga melati, dan berbagai simbol budaya lainnya yang memproduksi makna kolektif, dan identitas masyarakat Madura dibentuk melalui relasi sejarah, budaya, dan kekuasaan yang terepresentasi dalam tradisi perjodohan, otoritas keluarga, kepercayaan lokal, serta legitimasi norma adat yang diwariskan antargenerasi.
