Formatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan MIPA (ISSN:2502 5457 for the electronic version and ISSN 2088 351X for the print version) first published in April 2011 is a double-blind peer-reviewed scientific open access journal. The journal is dedicated to publishing articles concerned with research, theory development, instructional methods, instructional strategy, instructional materials development, experiment, survey, and teacher development in Math and Science (Physic, Biology, and Chemistry) Education. The journal is published by Universitas Indraprasta PGRI.

Formatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan MIPA is an accredited journal in the nation (Sinta 3) as listed in the Decree of Director General of Higher Education, the Ministry of Indonesian National Education No.21 / E / KPT / 2018 about Accreditations Results of Scientific Journal.

Since Vol. 9 No. 1 - 2019, the duration of issuance has changed to 4 times per year.

Since Vol. 10 No. 1 - 2020, the duration of issuance has changed to 2 times per year.

Since Sept 16, 2020, Formatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan MIPA is an accredited journal in the nation (Sinta 2) as listed in the Decree of Director General of Higher Education, the Ministry of Indonesian National Education No. 148/M/KPT/2020 about Accreditations Results of Scientific Journal.
