Mindup Youth Program: Strategi Mindfulness Adaptif untuk Pengembangan Kesejahteraan Emosional Remaja

Kesejahteraan emosional remaja di Brunei Darussalam menjadi perhatian serius, dengan laporan peningkatan kasus kecemasan dan depresi serta terbatasnya akses terhadap intervensi psikologis yang sesuai dengan karakteristik remaja digital. Program mindfulness konvensional seringkali dianggap membosankan dan kurang relevan, sehingga diperlukan strategi mindfulness adaptif yang kontekstual dan berbasis teknologi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan desain dan implementasi Mindup Youth Program sebagai strategi mindfulness adaptif bagi remaja Brunei, (2) menganalisis efektivitas program dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan emosional (afek positif dan negatif), serta (3) mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaan program.Program dilaksanakan di Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam dengan melibatkan 22 remaja usia 13–17 tahun. Intervensi mencakup paparan konsep mindfulness training, breathing exercise , jurnal refleksi harian, dan pengingat via WhatsApp. Pengukuran menggunakan kuesioner Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) sebelum (pre-test) dan sesudah (post-test) intervensi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji paired t-test. Terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada skor Positive Affect (PA) dari 28,45 menjadi 36,18 (peningkatan 27,2%; p < 0,001) dan penurunan signifikan pada skor Negative Affect (NA) dari 29,91 menjadi 19,73 (penurunan 34,0%; p < 0,001). Faktor pendukung utama meliputi antusiasme peserta, dukungan sekolah, serta efektivitas pengingat teknologi, sementara faktor penghambat (jadwal padat, gangguan gawai) berhasil diatasi dengan solusi adaptif.
