Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Penentuan Penerima Beasiswa di SMA Uswatun Hasanah dengan Metode SAW

Abstract

This study aims to design a Decision Support System (DSS) for determining scholarship recipients at SMA Uswatun Hasanah using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The scholarship selection process at the school has previously been conducted manually, which is time-consuming and prone to subjectivity. The proposed system is desktop-based with integrated database support, enabling objective and transparent data processing. The selection criteria include average report card scores, non-academic achievements, extracurricular participation, number of dependents, and parents’ income. The implementation results indicate that the SAW method can accurately generate the ranking of scholarship candidates, thereby improving efficiency, reducing errors, and enhancing fairness in decision-making. This research is expected to serve as a model for implementing DSS in other schools facing similar challenges.
