The research was conducted at PT XYZ with the aim of improving production efficiency on Peter Kigumi's garment line through capacity planning. The main problem found was a gap between production targets and actual capacity, which caused bottlenecks at several workstations such as hand rib panel sewing, neck overlays, neck stitches, and waistband stitches. The research method uses a time study to measure cycle time, Seven Waste analysis to identify activities that are not value-added, and Fishbone Diagram to find out the root cause of inefficiency. The results of the study show that the main causes of inefficiency are suboptimal operator skills, the absence of standard work procedures, and the lack of utilization of auxiliary equipment. Improvements were made with a Kaizen approach in the form of operator training, technical assistance, and the application of jigs as work aids. Comparison of conditions before and after the repair shows an increase in production capacity quantitatively, where the capacity at the bottleneck station has increased, such as the process of sewing hand rib panels from 97 units/hour to close to the target of 126 units/hour, neck overhead from 94 units/hour, neck stitch from 112 units/hour, and waistband stitch from 84 units/hour which previously had the largest difference, So that there is a significant reduction in capacity gaps at almost all bottleneck stations. The integration of time study and Kaizen methods has proven to be effective in increasing efficiency and productivity in a sustainable manner in the garment industry.
