Sistem Informasi Kolaborasi Penulis dan Editor dengan Pendekatan Business Process Reengineering

Abstract

The collaboration process between authors and editors in publishing educational books at PT Tiga Serangkai Pustaka Mandiri is still carried out through email and instant messaging applications. This study aims to design a collaborative information system that supports manuscript management in a more effective and integrated manner. Data were collected through literature study, observation, and interviews, while system development applied the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The Business Process Reengineering (BPR) approach was used to redesign workflows to become more efficient. The results show that the proposed system provides centralized manuscript submission, automatic notifications, real-time status monitoring, and role-based access management. Testing using Black Box Testing indicated that all system functions operated according to requirements.
