AUTHOR GUIDELINES

A.         GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.         Authors MUST comply with all writing and publication regulations established by the Editorial Board of JABE.

2.         Manuscripts MUST demonstrate novelty, a clear State of the Art (SOTA), originality, and authenticity.

3.         The manuscript length should range from 11 to 15 pages (including references) or approximately 3,000–5,000 words.

4.         Manuscripts must be written in English in accordance with the JABE standard writing format (template), which can be downloaded from the JABE OJS platform.

5.         Manuscripts MUST be submitted through the official JABE website:
https://newjournal.lppmunindra.ac.id/index.php/JABE/index

6.         Authors are required to register via the REGISTER menu.

7.         Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published in any other journal and must not be under review elsewhere. Authors are required to submit a statement of originality.

8.         All citations and references MUST be managed using citation software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or equivalent reference management tools.

9.         The minimum number of references in the reference list is 20 sources, with references published within the last 10 years.

10.      Authors are required to cite references from credible and reliable sources, including scholarly journals, books, official reports, and reputable websites.

11.      Authors are STRICTLY PROHIBITED from citing sources from blogs or similar platforms whose credibility cannot be academically justified.

12.      At least 80% of the references must consist of scientific articles from accredited national journals, reputable international journals, and/or conference proceedings. The remaining references may come from books, official web pages, or other trustworthy sources.

13.      The maximum allowable plagiarism/similarity index is 20%. Authors are strongly encouraged to check manuscript similarity using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin, Plagiarism Checker X, or similar tools (optional but recommended).

14.      The format and content of the manuscript (phrasing and paraphrasing) must not resemble a research report. The manuscript must strictly adhere to the JABE template.

15.      Authors MUST cite at least one relevant article previously published in JABE as a reference in their manuscript.

 

B.         MANUSCRIPT REJECTION CRITERIA

A manuscript may be rejected for the following reasons:

1.         The manuscript content falls outside the focus and scope of JABE.

2.         The manuscript is incomplete, such as lacking an abstract, keywords, author information, figures, and/or tables.

3.         The language quality (English) is significantly below academic standards, resulting in ambiguity or confusion.

4.         The manuscript merely repeats previous studies or experiments published elsewhere, without adding new data, variables, or meaningful contributions, and lacks novelty.

5.         The manuscript contains outdated research content.

6.         The manuscript does not meet the minimum substantive requirements specified in the Author Guidelines.

7.         The manuscript contains questionable data or ethical violations, including falsification, fabrication, or plagiarism.

8.         The methodology used is based on unclear, irrelevant, or outdated sources.

9.         The use of primary and up-to-date references (books, journals, proceedings, monographs, legal documents, authoritative texts) is insufficient.

10.      The author is proven to have committed plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification in the research.

C.         MANUSCRIPT SELECTION AND REVIEW PROCESS

1.         Manuscripts must strictly follow the prescribed format and writing style.

2.         Manuscripts that do not comply with the format will be returned to the authors for revision and/or rejected.

3.    Manuscripts that meet the format requirements will be forwarded to the Editorial Board Members for initial evaluation and decision (accepted or rejected).

4.         Accepted manuscripts or those with revised formatting will subsequently be reviewed by Peer Reviewers.

5.         After peer review, manuscripts will be returned to the Editorial Board Members with one of the following decisions:

a)     Accepted without revision

b)     Accepted with minor revision

c)     Accepted with major revision (subject to re-review after revision)

d)  Rejected
