Abstract

Abstract: Mathematical comprehension skills are one of the fundamental competencies that students must have in learning mathematics. However, various national and international assessment results show that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of Indonesian students is still relatively low. One of the learning models that is considered to be able to overcome these problems is Problem Based Learning (PBL). This study aims to systematically analyze the influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on students' mathematical comprehension skills. The study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by adapting the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocol. The articles analyzed were obtained from Google Scholar, with a publication range of 2019–2025. Based on the process of identification, screening, feasibility, and inclusion, 8 articles were obtained that met the research criteria. The results of the study show that the application of PBL consistently has a positive impact on students' mathematical comprehension abilities at various levels of education. This improvement is shown through the ability to interpret concepts, connect various mathematical representations, and apply concepts in contextual problem solving. 

Abstrak: Kemampuan pemahaman matematis merupakan salah satu kompetensi fundamental yang harus dimiliki siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Namun demikian, berbagai hasil asesmen nasional maupun internasional menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dinilai mampu mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara sistematis pengaruh model pembelajaran PBL terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengadaptasi protokol Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Artikel yang dianalisis diperoleh dari database Google Scholar, dengan rentang publikasi tahun 2019–2025. Berdasarkan proses identifikasi, penyaringan, kelayakan, dan inklusi diperoleh 8 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL secara konsisten memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Peningkatan tersebut ditunjukkan melalui kemampuan menginterpretasikan konsep, menghubungkan berbagai representasi matematika, serta menerapkan konsep dalam pemecahan masalah kontekstual.
