Author Guidelines

The Manuscripts

The manuscript should be an original research paper which sufficiently contributes novelty such as the development of new knowledge, theories, or methods in mathematics education. Authors are requested to submit their papers electronically by using the JKPM (Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan Matematika) online submission procedure. The corresponding author should also provide a statement that the manuscript is not concurrently being under consideration for publication elsewhere. The Editors will ignore submissions that do not follow these procedures. The manuscript should be prepared according to the following JKPM (Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan Matematika) Ms. Word template.

Structure of The Manuscripts

1.Title. The title should be clear, informative, attract and convey the main findings of the research.

2. Author's names and institutions. The author's names should be accompanied by the author's institutions, without any academic title. In one paper, there should be at least two authors names.

3. Abstract, keywords, and MRBM classification numbers. The abstract should be less than 150 words. Please provide the abstract in both English and Bahasa versions. The keywords should be of 3 to 5 words or phrases which are relevant for literature search.

4. Introduction. This section explains the background of the study, a review of the previous researches in the area, and aims of the manuscripts. Importantly it should also show the significance and novelty of the research. It should avoid problem exposure which is not objective and is only based on authors personal assumption without any data and theoretical background. Moreover, it should also avoid using sub-topic in this section. (20% of article contents***)

5. Methods. This section describes the appropriate tools of analysis along with the data and their sources. The given description should be more of an implemented process (practically), not just be like a theoretical analysis. (10% of article contents***)

6. Results. This section presents results and findings of the research. Exposure should be in the form of data information or display, that has been collected, can then be presented in graphics or tables. The presentation of the research findings or results must be accompanied with scientific interpretation. (30% of article contents ***)

7. Discussion. This section explains the results of the study. It should be presented clearly and concisely. Author(s) should explore the novelty or the contribution of the work in the field that has been analyzed. Thus, it should not just restate (retell) results or finding of the research in different format. (35% of article contents)

8. Conclusion. This section concludes and provides policy implications, if any, of the study. The conclusion(s) should be at the same order with ones discussed in the body of the manuscript. (5% of article contents***)

9. Acknowledgement. In this section, the author (s) should write down the people/institutions who technically help them when the research is carried out, such as places of research, providers of research materials, data processing, donors/funders, or people who provide constructive criticism before the manuscript is published. Then describe how these people contribute.

10. References. This section lists only the papers, books, or other types of publications referred to in the body of the manuscript. It must take references from two relevant articels in JKPM (Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan Matematika) in the last three years edition.

***article contents: introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion

For author(s) who submit non-research article, the structures of the paper are: (1) Introduction (20% of article contents*), (2) Discussions (75% of article contents*), (3) Conclusions (5% of article contents*), (4) Acknowledgements and (5) References.

*article contents: introduction, discussion, conclusion
