Tasikmadu Fishing Village, located in Watulimo District, Trenggalek Regency, is a coastal settlement adjacent to the Prigi National Fishing Port with considerable fisheries potential. However, the area continues to face challenges, including unplanned settlement patterns, inadequate fisheries-supporting facilities, limited public spaces, and declining environmental quality, which reduce both residents' quality of life and the efficiency of fisheries activities. Previous studies on coastal settlements have generally focused on environmental improvement or housing development, while limited research has integrated residential, fisheries production, marketing, and community functions within a comprehensive coastal architectural design framework. Therefore, this study aims to identify the spatial requirements, site characteristics, and principles of Coastal Architecture as the basis for developing an integrated fishing village design in Tasikmadu. The research employed the Glass Box design method through field observations, interviews, documentation, literature review, and precedent studies. The collected data were analyzed descriptively to formulate planning and design concepts based on actual site conditions and community needs. The results propose an integrated zoning system consisting of residential, fisheries production, marketing, communal, and public open-space areas. Coastal architectural principles are reflected through stilt-house adaptation, cross ventilation, climate-responsive building orientation, durable coastal materials, and the transformation of fishing sail forms as the area's architectural identity. The proposed design contributes a comprehensive planning concept that supports environmental quality, strengthens the local fisheries economy, preserves coastal identity, and provides a reference for the sustainable development of fishing village settlements in other coastal regions.
