The natural beauty inherent in urban parks directly impacts the quality of life for residents and the overall attractiveness of the city's landscape. Traditionally, the assessment of park aesthetics has been subjective and dependent on individual perceptions. Therefore, research on the functions of urban parks that support the concept of livability is essential. Some of these functions include landscape, environmental preservation, and aesthetics. This study focuses on the aesthetic value of Lembah Gurame Urban Forest Park in Depok City.
The purpose of this research is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the various visual features in Lembah Gurame Urban Forest Park. The approach used to more objectively and measurably evaluate the park's beauty is the Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) method. The significant results of the study reveal variations in the aesthetic assessment of different areas of the park. The findings indicate four landscape categories: high, medium, low, and very low aesthetic value. These findings suggest that aesthetic assessments of the landscape need to be followed up to enhance the even distribution of aesthetic value across the Lembah Gurame Urban Forest Park in Depok City.
