Pengaruh Perhatian Orang Tua dan Disiplin Belajar Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep IPA (Survei pada SMP Negeri di Kota Depok)

Understanding Natural Science (IPA) concepts is one of the important aspects of students’ learning success, which is sometimes not yet optimal. The achievement of conceptual understanding is influenced by external and internal factors, such as parental attention and learning discipline. This study aims to analyze and examine the validity of the hypothesis regarding the effect of parental attention and learning discipline on students’ understanding of Natural Science concepts. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that: (1) parental attention and learning discipline simultaneously have a significant effect on students’ understanding of Natural Science concepts, as evidenced by a Sig value of 0.000 < 0.05 and an F value of 64.858; (2) parental attention has a significant effect on students’ understanding of Natural Science concepts, as indicated by a Sig value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a t value of 4.103; and (3) learning discipline has a significant effect on students’ understanding of Natural Science concepts, as shown by a Sig value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a t value of 4.711.
