Pengaruh Literasi Sains dan Kebiasaan Berpikir terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) the influence of scientific literacy and thinking habits on science problem-solving abilities, 2) the influence of scientific literacy on science problem-solving abilities, and 3) the influence of thinking habits on science problem-solving abilities. The research method used a multiple regression analysis survey. The number of samples was 92 junior high school students in Bogor Regency. The sampling technique used proportionate stratified random sampling. The research instruments were essay tests and questionnaires. The results of the study: 1) there is a significant influence between scientific literacy and thinking habits on science problem-solving abilities. This is evidenced by the sig value = 0.000 <0.05 and the F-count value = 36.456, 2) there is a significant influence between scientific literacy on science problem-solving abilities. This is evidenced by the sig value = 0.001 <0.05 and the t-count value = 3.441, and 3) there is a significant influence between thinking habits on science problem-solving abilities. This is evidenced by the sig value = 0.0013 < 0.05 and the t-value = 2.543. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening scientific literacy and thinking habits in improving students' problem-solving abilities in Natural Sciences subjects. The solution to this problem is the need for student-centered learning methods and equipping students to solve questions based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS).
