Abstract

 

This study aims to determine: 1) The Effect of Numerical Ability and Curiosity Together on the Mastery of Mathematical Concepts of Public Junior High School Students in South Tangerang City, 2) The Effect of Numerical Ability on the Mastery of Mathematical Concepts of Public Junior High School Students in South Tangerang City, 3) The Effect of Curiosity on the Mastery of Mathematical Concepts of Public Junior High School Students in South Tangerang City. Of 367 eighth grade students in a public junior high school in South Tangerang City, 88 students participated in this survey. Data were collected through a written test of mathematical concept mastery, a written test of numerical ability, and a curiosity questionnaire. To analyze the data, SPSS 22.0 computer software was used for regression analysis. A strong influence between Numerical Ability and Curiosity Together on the Mastery of Mathematical Concepts is shown by the research findings using the regression equation Y = 26.341 + 0.329 X1 + 0.293 X2. To predict mathematical concept mastery, the researcher observed numerical competence and curiosity.
