Pengaruh Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis dan Kepercayaan Diri terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah IPA (Survei di SMP Negeri Kota Bekasi)

This study aims to determine: (1) the joint effect of critical thinking skills and self-confidence on students’ science problem-solving ability; (2) the effect of critical thinking skills on science problem-solving ability; and (3) the effect of self-confidence on science problem-solving ability. The research method employed was a survey, with a sample of 78 students. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that: (1) critical thinking skills and self-confidence jointly have a significant effect on science problem-solving ability, as evidenced by a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05 and an F-value of 150.994; (2) critical thinking skills have a significant effect on science problem-solving ability, indicated by a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05 and a t-value of 4.775; and (3) self-confidence has a significant effect on science problem-solving ability, as indicated by a significance value of 0.045 < 0.05 and a t-value of 2.034.
