Plagiarism Policy

Scope: Journal of English Language Teaching does not accept plagiarism or other forms of misappropriation of intellectual work. All submissions must present original work and properly acknowledge the contributions of others.

Author Responsibilities

·       Authors must cite and quote sources accurately and provide complete references for ideas, wording, data, images, and other material taken from other sources.

·       Authors must not submit work that has been published previously or is being considered simultaneously by another journal.

·       Text recycling, duplicate publication, unattributed translation, and misuse of figures, tables, or data will be assessed in context and in accordance with publication ethics.

Screening and Editorial Action

The journal may screen submissions using plagiarism-detection tools and examine suspected similarities. Similarity scores are indicators for editorial assessment and should not be treated as automatic proof of plagiarism. Depending on the evidence and seriousness of the case, the journal may request an explanation, require revision, reject the submission, or take post-publication action.
