Analisis media terapeutik visual untuk mendukung kesehatan mental mahasiswa atlet sepatu roda

Mahasiswa atlet sepatu roda menghadapi tekanan ganda sebagai atlet dan mahasiswa, terutama terkait tuntutan performa, ekspektasi diri, dan kondisi kompetitif. Tekanan tersebut berpotensi memengaruhi kesehatan mental dan kestabilan emosi atlet, khususnya pada fase pra- dan pascapertandingan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana media terapeutik visual dapat mendukung stabilitas emosi dan kesejahteraan mental atlet. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif eksploratif melalui studi literatur sebagai landasan awal penelitian dan wawancara terhadap tujuh mahasiswa atlet sepatu roda. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kondisi emosional atlet lebih dominan dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal seperti ekspektasi diri, keberhasilan atau kegagalan performa, kelelahan fisik, serta tekanan pertandingan, sementara lingkungan dan aspek visual berperan sebagai pendukung regulasi emosi. Media terapeutik visual seperti clay making dan fotografi dapat membantu atlet, terutama pada fase pra- dan pascapertandingan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media terapeutik visual berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai alat pendukung regulasi emosi yang praktis, non-verbal, fleksibel, dan berbasis pendekatan desain visual bagi mahasiswa atlet sepatu roda.
