Perancangan dan evaluasi furnitur modular untuk efisiensi ruang pada hunian Tipe 36: Studi kasus Shelldom

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan lahan hunian perkotaan yang menyebabkan menurunnya kualitas penggunaan ruang, dan fleksibilitas aktivitas penghuni. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang furnitur modular pada hunian tipe 36 Shelldom serta mengevaluasi pengaruhnya terhadap efisiensi ruang berdasarkan kualitas sirkulasi dan ruang gerak pengguna. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dengan kerangka design thinking yang meliputi tahap empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Evaluasi dilakukan secara kuantitatif melalui simulasi model 3D skala 1:1 dan pengukuran sirkulasi antara konfigurasi furnitur konvensional, dan modular. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan furnitur modular mampu meningkatkan fleksibilitas spasial melalui integrasi fungsi dan transformasi konfigurasi ruang. Peningkatan efisiensi terjadi pada area akses ranjang sebesar 7,3%, dan ruang kerja sebesar 193,3%, sedangkan area meja makan mengalami penurunan sirkulasi sebesar 27,8%, tetapi tetap berada dalam standar ergonomi. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan furnitur modular menghasilkan rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 57,6%. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam pengembangan strategi desain modular dan evaluasi spasial kuantitatif melalui indikator sirkulasi dan ruang gerak sebagai parameter efisiensi ruang pada hunian lahan terbatas.
