Okularsentrisme dalam ruang imersif komersial: Studi fenomenologis di B Play Surabaya

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pola okularsentrisme dan keseimbangan pengalaman multisensori dalam ruang imersif komersial B Play Surabaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi arsitektur. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, dokumentasi visual, dan kuesioner semi-terstruktur kepada 25 responden yang pernah mengunjungi B Play Surabaya. Analisis dilakukan dengan membaca lima aspek intensitas sensori, yaitu visual, auditori, taktil, kinestetik, dan atmosferik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap ruang memiliki pola multisensori yang berbeda. Bounce, Boop, Bubble, dan Buoy memperlihatkan keterlibatan tubuh yang lebih kuat melalui sentuhan, gerak, dan interaksi fisik. Sebaliknya, Borne dan Beam menunjukkan dominasi visual yang tinggi dan berkaitan dengan pengalaman lelah, silau, pusing, serta disorientasi. Beam memperoleh skor visual tertinggi, yaitu 4,9, diikuti Borne dengan skor 4,8. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa intensitas visual dapat memperkuat daya tarik imersif, tetapi juga berpotensi menimbulkan kelebihan beban rangsangan apabila tidak diimbangi oleh acuan fisik dan kenyamanan tubuh. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa desain ruang imersif komersial perlu mengurangi ketergantungan pada visual semata dan mengintegrasikan teknologi cahaya, materialitas, suara, gerak tubuh, dan kualitas atmosferik secara lebih seimbang.
