Motion-based design berbasis simulasi fisika untuk dekonstruksi kisi dalam pembentukan pola digital generatif

Ketergantungan yang berkelanjutan pada sistem kisi Euclidean yang statis dinilai membatasi eksplorasi kompleksitas visual dan variasi organisasi spasial dalam praktik ornamentasi digital kontemporer. Penelitian ini menyoroti stagnasi metodologis dalam praktik digital pattern making dengan mengusulkan sebuah kerangka desain berbasis gerak yang memanfaatkan fitur rigid body dynamics sebagai medium generatif. Dengan menggunakan Blender 4.1, penelitian ini mengoperasionalkan sebuah alur kerja yang meliputi sintesis aditif, konfigurasi parametrik, dan simulasi fisika, yang melibatkan tiga motif dengan tingkat simetri yang berbeda (kompleks, sederhana, dan asimetris) berperan sebagai “agen desain” otonom. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keberhasilan dalam mendekonstruksi kisi statis menjadi pola yang dicirikan oleh ordered randomness (ketakteraturan yang terstruktur). Validasi empiris mengungkapkan pergeseran signifikan menuju kompleksitas otonom, dengan Variansi Rotasi (σ) mencapai 80,59° dan kepadatan spasial meningkat sebesar 171,65% hingga mencapai 284,19%. Temuan penelitian mengidentifikasi derajat simetri motif sebagai aturan mikro yang bersifat memengaruhi: simetri yang lebih sederhana memicu diversifikasi yang lebih tinggi, sementara asimetri memfasilitasi keterkuncian (interlocking) yang lebih unggul. Penelitian ini memberikan bukti orisinal mengenai simulasi fisika sebagai enabling media yang mereposisikan peran desainer dari pengatur langsung menjadi “pencari sistem” (system-finder) dalam organisasi visual yang otonom, sekaligus menjembatani prinsip-prinsip generatif dengan praktik keterampilan digital kontemporer.
