Perancangan board game sosialisasi komunikasi non-verbal berbasis kerangka DDE untuk anak 8—10 tahun

Dominasi komunikasi verbal di masyarakat sering kali meminggirkan interaksi non-verbal, sehingga membatasi pemahaman anak terhadap keberagaman cara berkomunikasi. Kurangnya pembiasaan komunikasi alternatif ini turut menghambat terbentuknya sikap inklusif sejak usia dini. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan merancang board game sebagai media sosialisasi guna menormalisasi penggunaan komunikasi non-verbal dan membangun persepsi kesetaraan komunikasi bagi anak dengar usia 8—10 tahun. Metode perancangan menggunakan kerangka kerja Double Diamond yang diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan Design, Dynamics, Experience (DDE) Framework untuk menciptakan ruang simulasi bermain yang aman. Evaluasi data kualitatif dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif terhadap 15 anak yang dipilih melalui metode convenience sampling, serta divalidasi melalui wawancara tindak lanjut bersama guru kelas. Hasil penelitian ini berupa board game "Ssszoo...!!!", sebuah permainan sosial kooperatif yang mengadopsi mekanika informasi asimetris dan pembatasan suara. Aturan tersebut secara sistematis mendekonstruksi dominasi verbal dan mendorong anak untuk menggunakan gestur serta mimik wajah sebagai alat komunikasi utama. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan indikasi bahwa pengalaman bermain ini dapat menuntun partisipan melalui tahapan ranah afektif hingga memicu fenomena Tangential Learning. Terdapat indikasi ketertarikan dari partisipan yang secara sukarela mulai mengadopsi bahasa isyarat ke dalam rutinitas keseharian mereka di luar ruang permainan. Disimpulkan bahwa intervensi desain melalui board game kooperatif memiliki potensi sebagai media alternatif untuk memudarkan stigma kecacatan dan menanamkan nilai inklusivitas yang mendalam pada anak dengar.
