    CALL FOR PAPERS

    We invite researchers, academics, and practitioners to submit their manuscripts to Jurnal Desain for the following upcoming issues:

  • Call for Reviewers

    Jurnal Desain invites qualified academics, researchers, and professionals to join our reviewer pool in the following fields:

    • Interior Design
    • Architecture
    • Product Design
    • Fashion Design

    We welcome applicants with relevant academic expertise, research experience, and a verifiable scholarly publication record who are willing to contribute to the scholarly quality and integrity of the journal through independent and constructive peer review.

    Reviewer Qualifications

    Applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:

    • hold at least a Master’s degree (S2 or equivalent) in a relevant field;
    • have academic or professional expertise relevant to one or more of the listed fields;
    • have an active and identifiable Google Scholar profile;
    • for applicants affiliated with institutions in Indonesia, have a valid SINTA ID;
    • have a verifiable scholarly publication record relevant to their field;
    • demonstrate recent scholarly activity and sufficient expertise to provide substantive manuscript evaluation;
    • be willing to conduct reviews independently, objectively, and confidentially;
    • have no relevant conflict of interest with the manuscript or authors being reviewed; and
    • be willing to comply with the journal’s Peer Review Process, Reviewer Guidelines, Publication Ethics, confidentiality requirements, conflict-of-interest provisions, and Artificial Intelligence Policy.

    A Scopus Author ID is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.

    Reviewer Responsibilities

    Selected reviewers may be invited to evaluate manuscripts according to their field of expertise and are expected to:

    • provide objective, critical, constructive, and academically grounded reviews;
    • assess manuscripts independently and confidentially;
    • disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest;
    • maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and supporting materials;
    • comply with the journal’s policy prohibiting the use of generative AI or AI-assisted systems in peer review; and
    • complete assigned reviews within the specified review period.

    Jurnal Desain applies a double-blind peer-review system. Reviewer recommendations constitute independent scholarly advice and do not determine the final editorial decision.

    Recognition and Documentation

    Reviewers who are formally assigned to review manuscripts may receive:

    • an Official Reviewer Assignment Letter for the relevant manuscript review;
    • a Reviewer Certificate recognizing their contribution to Jurnal Desain; and
    • acknowledgment as part of the journal’s reviewer pool, subject to editorial and administrative requirements.

    Please note that the journal’s institutional Reviewer Appointment Decree (Surat Keputusan/SK) is updated according to the administrative cycle of the institution. The next scheduled update is expected in January 2028.

    The absence of an immediate institutional appointment decree does not affect the validity of reviewer assignments formally issued by Jurnal Desain during the current period.

    Applications will be evaluated based on academic suitability, field expertise, scholarly qualifications, reviewer needs, independence, and the journal’s editorial requirements.

  • Editorial Update: Peer Review Process for Volume 14 No. 1 (2026)

    Jurnal Desain would like to inform authors and reviewers that the editorial team has completed the alignment of the journal’s editorial governance, policies, and manuscript handling procedures with the 2026 Technical Guidelines for Scientific Journal Accreditation.

    This update was undertaken to ensure that the journal’s editorial, peer-review, and publication processes remain consistent with the latest requirements for scholarly quality, transparency, publication ethics, and academic integrity.

    The completed adjustments include updates to the article template, Author Guidelines, Initial Editorial Assessment process, Peer Review Process, Reviewer Guidelines, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy, article declarations, ethical approval and ethical compliance requirements, post-review editorial verification, and other related editorial policies and procedures.

    Following the completion of these adjustments, the peer-review process for manuscripts being considered for Volume 14 No. 1 (2026) will now commence.

    Authors whose manuscripts are currently under editorial consideration may be requested to revise their submissions in accordance with the latest article template and editorial requirements before or during the continuation of the review process. Any required action will be communicated directly through the journal’s OJS platform.

    These adjustments are intended to ensure that all manuscripts are processed consistently under the journal’s updated editorial standards and that the peer-review process is properly documented, substantive, transparent, and aligned with current accreditation requirements.

    We appreciate the patience, understanding, and cooperation of our authors and reviewers during this editorial transition.
