Memahami kebutuhan dan preferensi desain celana perempuan baby boomer berdasarkan kapasitas fisiologis dan aktivitas harian

Perempuan generasi baby boomer di Indonesia telah memasuki tahap usia lanjut dan mengalami berbagai perubahan fisiologis akibat proses penuaan, seperti perubahan bentuk tubuh, sensitivitas kulit, gangguan termoregulasi, penurunan penglihatan, inkontinensia urine, dan menurunnya kekuatan otot. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kapasitas fisiologis perempuan generasi baby boomer yang terkait dengan penggunaan celana serta memahami preferensi desain celana yang sesuai dengan gaya hidup mereka saat ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah campuran, melibatkan wawancara semi-terstruktur dan pengukuran fisiologis pada 30 partisipan perempuan berusia 60–79 tahun di wilayah Bandung. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa gaya berpakaian lansia sangat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi fisiologis, aktivitas harian, nilai keagamaan, serta preferensi pribadi. Lansia membutuhkan celana dengan potongan yang sedikit longgar, bukaan yang mudah diakses, material yang nyaman, dan desain yang tidak hanya praktis tetapi juga menarik secara visual. Selain itu, efisiensi dalam pembelian dan perawatan pakaian menjadi pertimbangan penting. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi perancang dan industri mode dalam mengembangkan desain celana yang lebih adaptif, inklusif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan fisiologis serta gaya hidup perempuan baby boomer.
