Strategi transformasi desain interior PAUD berbasis geometri melingkar untuk perilaku eksploratif dan interaksi sosial anak

Penelitian ini membahas keterbatasan ruang belajar Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) konvensional yang kurang responsif terhadap perilaku eksploratif dan interaksi sosial anak. Penelitian bertujuan mengembangkan alternatif strategi transformasi desain interior berbasis geometri melingkar untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih adaptif terhadap pola perilaku anak usia dini. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan kerangka Design Thinking for Design Interior Learning (DT-DI) melalui observasi perilaku anak, wawancara pendidik, thematic coding, serta analisis literatur dan preseden Fuji Kindergarten. Hasil thematic coding menunjukkan adanya ketidaksesuaian antara konfigurasi ruang persegi dengan pola pergerakan anak yang aktif dan menyebar, disertai keterbatasan kapasitas, kebutuhan fleksibilitas fungsi, dan stimulasi visual yang belum terkendali. Temuan tersebut dirumuskan menjadi permasalahan desain dan kriteria desain yang menghasilkan strategi geometri melingkar, sirkulasi kontinu, zoning aktivitas, tata letak fleksibel, dan strategi warna. Literatur dan preseden memperkuat potensi strategi tersebut dalam mendukung mobilitas, interaksi, fokus, dan kenyamanan anak. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa geometri melingkar dapat menjadi strategi transformasi desain interior PAUD berbasis perilaku. Tahap test-evaluation belum dilakukan sehingga efektivitas desain belum dapat dibuktikan secara empiris dan memerlukan pengujian lanjutan.
